![]() There was a small (10-12 car) free parking lot near the trail head which is on the west end of town - we didn't know exactly where we were going but found it without much trouble. Jetrichoviche: We drove to Jetrichoviche from Mezni Louka (10 min, but could have taken the bus from the stop just across the street from U Forta) and hike the red trail north until it turned west where we took the green trail back to Jetrichovice. The whole day lasted from 10a-5pm for us (30 yo fit people at a moderate pace). There are many people, blazes, and sign posts along the way so you will not get lost. We continued along the yellow trail and eventually took the blue trail back to Mezni Louka. The boat rides are not going to be in English. Again, there is a cafe on the trail section between the two boat rides (Edmonds and Wild Gorge sections). ![]() From Hrensko we hiked upstream along the Kaminiche following the yellow trail and taking both boat rides (maybe 60 Kr/person for each section). We continued west along the red trail for another hour to get to Hrensko (not as beautiful as the first part of the hike) where we stopped for a late lunch at one of the cafes. It costs 75 Kr/$3 per person to walk to the top of the cliffs at the Pravcica Brana. Pravcica Brana/Kaminice Gorge hike: We started from U Forta (right by the information building) in Mezni Louka and hiked west along the red trail for 1-1.5 hours to the Pravcica Brana - this section of trail was beautiful. Imbert assured that updates on these activities will be provided as needed. We did 2 hikes: the Pravcica Brana/Kaminice Gorge loop and another out of Jetrichovice. Teams from Heritage, the Environmental Management Authority and the Energy Ministry remain on site managing cleanup efforts. Imbert advised Heritage to “do their best” in the future to halt any illegal construction that would impede their access to pipelines. He noted that Heritage last year advised the family who constructed the garage against doing so, but they persisted. This is particularly difficult when persons have built structures over the pipelines.” Inspection of the above ground pipeline is much easier to execute and very advanced, using non-destructive testing techniques.īut, underground pipelines can only be inspected by excavation. 800,000 feet of pipeline has already been inspected and over 50,000 feet of pipeline has been replaced. ![]() He said: “A full pipeline inspection and replacement programme has been ongoing for the last two years and will continue until completed. The Acting Prime Minister gave an update on the ongoing efforts to address aging pipeline infrastructure. The impacted families were evacuated and are being accommodated at the Paria Suites Hotel until the area is deemed nontoxic. Heritage managed to isolate and repair the leaks along the 16-inch trunk oil pipeline at Massahood Village, Fyzabad on Sunday afternoon, but there’s still some testing to be done on the 30-year-old cross country pipeline before it’s marked safe. The response to leaks on a pipeline owned by Heritage Petroleum Company Limited was exacerbated by the fact that a structure being used as a garage was built over the pipeline.Īcting Prime Minister Colm Imbert made the revelation as he responded to a question during Tuesday’s sitting of the Senate on behalf of Energy Minister Stuart Young, who is currently overseas on official business.
